Privacy Policy
Betachaw is a local delivery app. This page explains what we collect and why. We operate in Nigeria and handle personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). Questions: help@betachaw.com.
Who we are
Betachaw runs the customer, rider, and kitchen apps and this website. For privacy requests, email help@betachaw.com.
What we collect
- Name and phone number, to create your account and send a login code (WhatsApp or SMS via our messaging provider).
- Delivery address and precise location, when you set a pin or tap current location, so we can send a rider to the right door. The app asks permission before using GPS. You can type an address instead.
- Orders, cart, and payment status. Card and bank details are entered on Paystack. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or PIN.
- Support chat messages, if you write to us in the app.
- A Betachaw account id and device session so you stay signed in.
What we do not collect
We do not read your contacts, photos, or health data. We do not use advertising identifiers or sell your data to ad networks. We do not store payment cards on our servers.
Who we share with
- Our hosting and database, to run the app.
- Paystack, to take payment. Paystack is the card processor.
- Our SMS / WhatsApp provider, to send the login code.
- The kitchen and the rider for that order (name, phone, address, and what you ordered).
We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Account, addresses, and order history stay while you use Betachaw. You can ask us to close the account and delete what the law does not require us to keep (for example, some payment records).
Your rights
Under the NDPA / NDPR you can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, or complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Email help@betachaw.com.
Children
Betachaw is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly create accounts for them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
